“Hey Emily” was written for American hero, Cpl. Jessie Fletcher and his fiancé Emily. "Jessie’s heroic story could inspire a movie or book but I chose to write the song as a devotional love song to Emily. It’s about the healing power of love and its ability to overcome even the most hopeless of circumstances. My wish is that all military families as well as everyone else who hears the song will be inspired to take a step back and remember what’s most important in their lives, loved ones. Wouldn’t we all be so lucky and grateful to have an "Emily" when we needed one?
Please take the time to donate to the Jessie Fletcher Donation Efforts by downloading "Hey Emily" while it's still available. All proceeds will go to Jessie and his family."

lyrics
You were just a flower on the wall, at the Marine Corps Ball
We danced, and the rest was history, you’d wait for me
When I shipped out, you refused to say goodbye
But you wrote me everyday, and to every letter I replied
Hey Emily, you stand by me
Emily, you give me the strength I need
To fight this battle through
And when I get out of here
I’ll come marching home to you
Hey Emily
You’d send me pictures of homes, one we’d buy with my VA loan
We came up with names for our kids, we couldn’t wait to begin
But a roadside bomb had other plans
And now I’m stuck at Walter Reed, till I can walk again
Hey Emily, you stand by me
Emily, you give me the strength I need
To fight this battle through
And when I get out of here
I’ll come marching home to you
My Emily
Day and night you’re by my side
My saving grace, my angel in disguise
Hey Emily, you stand by me
Emily, you give me the strength I need
And like a soldier I’ll pull through
As long as I have you
There’s not a battle I could lose
Hey Emily, Sweet Emily
